Webinar for farm vets on effective communication
We are all capable of communicating but how can we improve the effectiveness of our communications?
The Webinar Vet invited Fiona to create a webinar for farm vets on this important topic and it is available on their online platform from 6th September 2023.
In this webinar, Fiona talks about the significance of communication in veterinary practice, how our use of language can influence how others understand what we say, and why body language helps us connect on a deeper level to establish trust and rapport.
Presenting to vets in the Netherlands
Fiona was invited to present at the 25th anniversary Udder Health Symposium, held on 8th June 2023, where dairy vets were meeting to discuss the latest research in mastitis, pain relief and vet-farmer interactions.
The title of Fiona's talk was 'Behaviour change in farm animal practice: how it can be achieved' and she shared details of various evidence-based tools, research and communication insights to support vets wanting to work with farmers to improve animal health and welfare. Content included reference to the Behaviour Change Wheel, the COM-B model, the Scarf model and Motivational Interviewing.

Setting up a new podcast
For months, we'd been thinking about starting a podcast but the idea seemed a little daunting, to say the least!
With a couple of interviews recorded ahead of our planned launch date, we were very excited to share the conversations between Fiona and her guests on 4th May 2023.
